Certificates

On behalf of Pleasant Valley Garden Club, on Thursday, November 19, 2015, President Linda Malone, Secretary Andrea Soriano, 2nd Vice President Martha Baskerville and club member Frances Giffin presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Joe Romero, Assistant Manager of Green Thumb International, Ventura, to say 'Thank you' for the 10% discount our members receive on plants and gardening related items. Every year Green Thumb gives members a 10% discount card that lasts the entire year. YEAH!

School Grants and Awards

Camarillo Heights STEM Academy Garden Project, Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School, Rancho Rosal Garden Project,  Colina Middle School, Pleasant Valley School of Engineering and Art, Monte Vista Middle School. Teachers at these schools received grants and award certificates for their class garden projects.

Donations

7th Day Adventist Church Pantry to feed needy in Camarillo. Teacher Grants, given to 6 or 7 schools to encourage children to garden. Camarillo High School, support the academic horticulture program & FFA . Activity kits for children - Encouraging Future Gardeners program. RAIN transitional living center for families and adults, garden plants/flowers. Conservation endowment fund for Taft Gardens, future programs. Permanent Bench honoring PVGC now located at the entrance to Camarillo Grove Park. Penny Pines, donations from members at each meeting are sent to Los Padres National Forest to help replant trees indigenous to damaged areas.
