~ January Meeting 2017 ~ Meeting Notes

January’s speaker, Jim Adams, brought 7 of his favorite native plants to our January meeting. He gave members a quick run-down of some of the medicinal qualities of these plants. He also gave us recipes that he learned from a Chumash healer for creating our own medicines. White and black sage are popular medicinals, as well as mugwort, yerba santa, chemese, California Bay Laurel, and California sagebrush. Dr. Adams had his book, as well as his hand-made creams and tinctures available for purchase after the meeting. For more information on Dr. Adams hikes, products, and speeches, visit his website at: www.abeduspress.com
